+ Sorry for the lousy updates yada yada yada. Ok folks, here's whats cooking:
+ The Jermaine record; Hope Dies Last is finally out after a year of waiting. And it sounds just as good as it did then. It's album of the week on YleX this week and at least two of the songs have gotten a fair amount of airplay. Check it out you, hurry up!
+ The Automatic Eye album is done. It will be out September 3. The first single "Away from Sunshine" has been played heavily on both radio and tv. Check out their Myspace for more details, dude!
+ I did a single mix for the band Pint And We Fall. Check out their Myspace for more info!
+ I'm currently mixing the Kimaira album. It sounds different than anything I've ever done. I'm really excited to hear what people think. The songs and the band are awesome, I just need to bring it home safely.
+ The Clark Kent story made a sudden turn. The band signed to Sonic Kitchen and to be honest I don't have a clue what happens next. But even that can't change the fact that it's one of my favourite finnish bands of all times. Peace.
+ And last but not least, the new Victory Audiois finished! It turned out way better than I expected. There will be a real website up in no time but meanwhile you'll have to settle for a more modest layout.
+ The Callisto album is recorded and waiting to be mixed. Suffice to say, his one contains a certain element of surprise. It's going to be a groundbreaking album in so many ways.

+ The plans for 2008 are taking shape. During the first half
I'll be busy recording and producing debut albums
for Kimaira and Automatic Eye. In July-August
I will be busy recording, producing, breastfeeding
and babysitting the guys in Callisto; a circus
that will hopefully result in some wonderful and unique music.
Or total disaster.
I also hope I'll get to do more songwriting and
co-writing stuff and just focus on great songs and arrangements.
+ The August album is being mastered as we speak.
+ On public demand, I'll have a guestbook up and
running by the beginning of next year.
+ Noisecamp Studios in Turku had gone through some major
changes since the last time I was there. The big recording
room was about two times bigger than before and it really
seemed to change everything. I recorded drums for the Fog
album there a week ago and I'm really liking the result.
I also used some new (for me that is) techniques on micing.

+ This is probably my favourite time of year.
+ I've been mixing for 4 weeks straight now. The
Jermaine album is finished and mastered. After that
I mixed an album for Nuancegate.
And now I'm in the process of mixing the August album
Some confirmed productions for next year include
Callisto, Fog and Dian but there are a lot of
un-confirmed stuff as well. Just ask Mulder.
Or as we say in Finland, Lukekaa sit seiskasta.
+ I have no idea how many people frequently
read this webpage so I'm going to conduct a little
experiment and I need your help: If you wan't me to

+ I bought two DBX 263A de-essers on ebay. They're
magical! It can remove a hihat bleed from the snare
mic like nothing else. It's really amazing. It's decent
on vocals too

+ The Ocean double album is finally done and
in print as we speak.
+ I'm mixing Jermaine's album for the second week now.
Tomorrow I'm going to mix a song called Way Out
which is probably my favourite one on the album.
It's a perfect mixture of classic pop and
melancholic rock. You'll see.
+ I fell in love with a certain Roland Space Echo during the
guitar overdub sessions with August and Jermaine. And I finally
talked myself into starting to collect guitar stompboxes.
They're much cheaper and affect the sound of the instrument more
than any plug-in or studio effect. And everyone has more fun too.
So I started with a Boss distortion.
+ I'll be mixing some tracks for the band Nuancegate
in a week or so.

+I'm still alive. I guess. Or more than ever, maybe.
May and June we're kind of weird for me somehow.
I had some cancellations after my The Ocean
-session in Berlin and thus had some time off to
really think of whats going on in my life.
To make a long story short; I'm still (or again) very much
convinced that God has a purpose for all this.
+ I'm heading down to Turku (again) to
record some drums for the next Jermaine album.
So far their material is sounding really good.
We'll continue with gtrs/bass/vox/misc at Victory.

+ The Clark Kent album is almost done
+ In June, I recorded and mixed an acoustic album for
Hencca&BigBand. It'll be out on
AikaMedia in about a month. It's one of the best
"minimalistic" productions I've done so far. And a lot
of the basic tracks we're done with the guys playing live
Sounds awesome, mind you.
+ I bought myself a Protools HD1
+ Tomorrow, I'm picking up my new
SSL-busscompressor-clone. I cant wait.

+ Finished recording basic tracks for the upcoming
The Ocean double-album. It was a very
busy 17 days at studio57 but I think we're all
quite happy with the outcome. We will be recording
some additional stuff back in Berlin in may
but I think there's no release date set for the album yet.

+ First of all, sorry for doing such a lousy job with these pages. As you
may have guessed I've been working. A lot.
+ The Klinik album is out and was album of the week on Radio Dei 1/2007.
+ A new Deep Insight-single; "One Minute Too Late" is out.
+ I'm just about finished with the Collarbone album.
It was mixed by Jens Bogren (Fascinationstreet)and
mastered by Ue Nastasi (Sterling, NY). It's going to be a really
cool album, you'll see.
+ Now I'm working on a album for Habakuk. Tomorrow I'll be done tracking
and on monday I'll start mixing. Then it's off to Turku (again) to record some
drums for the Stanley album.
+ I bought myself a Rosetta 800. I had to. I tracked the Collarbone sessions
with an Apogee AD16X and I wouldn't go back.
+ Late 2006 I also did an EP for Molly Grows Up, a single for Stanley,
some 5-6 songs for an album with Clark Kent. Among other things.

+ The new Deep Insight album is finished after
over a year of hard work. It's out on HMC in October.
+ The Klinik recordings are almost finished and I believe
it's going to be a really groundbreaking album.
+ Yesterday I did a short demo session with The LeoBarby.
Apparently they are one step closer to getting a record deal and
all I can do is to hope they won't ditch me for some hotshot
producer if they get signed.
+ Tomorrow I'll be heading to turku to record some
songs with Clark Kent.
+ I bought myself Autotune and Drumagog because what
great tools they both are.
I did a single with the band Habakuk for Aika Oy and I'll be
mixing that one in a couple of weeks

+ I did some mixing this week. Finished the Fogpilot
songs and you may want to check out the song "Don't stop",
I think it turned out really well.
+ I also did a short demo session with Kimmo Ollikainen´s
latest, Hencca & Big Bandwith some acoustic gtrs, udu and djembe.
+ I'll be mixing for the next two weeks or so and I'm really
liking the gear at the studio for now. Sure I could use a
quad comp, some more Lexicons, a 1176, a Distressor and
so on, but I seem to have all the tools I need
to get stuff done.
And mixing can be really fun when you´re not stuck in
problem-solving-mode all the time. I'm thinking about
doing a short rundown on the gear on this site.
Just a little something about the machines and
what I use them for.

+ I just completed a nice (but very hot) vocal overdub
session at Victory with Nerveseed. I'm also
doing some crazy stuff with Deep Insight at the moment.

We'll start recording in august or september
but there is no release date set.
These guys just keep on writing strong, catchy
rock tunes not unlike FooFighters, Weezer
and Bad Religion. If you know me, you also know those
bands have a special place in my heart.

I've started to use a Ddrum trigger on the snare
most of the time. But I use it, not as a trigger,

sounding hihat)
But then again, there's always Soundreplacer...

+ The Callisto recording sessions kicked
off today. After 3 months of intensive pre-production,
I feel really confident in what we have so far. As I've
said before, with good songwriting and careful planning,
you just can't go wrong. We'll be tracking
drums/gtrs/bass/vox until Xmas and doing keyboards and
additional overdubs in early January.
I'll try to post some session photos as we go along. Mostly
boring tech stuff. Mics, pres, guitar cab setups and so on.
+ Deep Insight will enter the studio in February. We'll
once again head to Jens' milloin dollar room (Fascination
Street) in Örebro/Sweden and what a session it will be. As
I've said before, with a bassplayer that keeps drawing
carrots and cusswords on his naked body with a sharpie pen,
you just can't go wrong.
We've already started pre-production, done some demos
and picked out some songs for the record and I believe we
have a real winner this time. Or should I say once again.
+ I bought myself a brand new Mac Mini. And traded my
001 for a 002. It's in my mobile rig for overdubs and
editing. Other stuff I carry around usually includes
a DBX 386 pre/AD, my mics, a custom tele,
a glockenspiel and other assorted percussion.

+ Just mixed 2 songs for Molly Grows Up. What can I say,
I really like the Avalon comp/eq on my master buss.
+ I'm negotiating for the production of at least 3 albums

+ Just finished a short recording session with the
Turku-based band Molly Grows Up(www.molly.tk).
It's a little Helmet, Nirvana and Failure mixed with mellow vocals and a lot of effected guitars which makes
for a sort of 90's indierock vibe.
